You should stop DCE services before upgrading to a new version of PC-DCE. However, do not stop DCE Services before changing your DCE configuration; services should be running when you make configuration changes.
To stop all DCE services, click the Stop DCE button.
Note: You can also start and stop PC-DCE from the Services dialog box in the Control Panel (Windows NT, Windows NT Terminal Server) or in the Administrative Tools folder inside the Control Panel (Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Terminal Server).
