With the Modify option on the Configuration menu, you can modify your system configuration in any of the following ways:
· Add or remove a replica CDS Directory or Security server.
· Add or remove a DTS clerk, DTS local server, or DTS global server.
· Remove a replica CDS Directory server from a CDS master.
· Enable or disable the following options:
- Auto Start
- Clean before Auto Start
- Integrated login
- Password Strength Server
- Audit Server
- Name Service Interface Gateway
- Global Directory Agent
- Automatically sync local time with cell time
- Preferred DTS server to sync with
Note: Due to an existing problem in OSF DCE, you cannot remove a CDS replica and immediately create a new CDS replica with the same name. If you do this, the following error will occur:
Unable to communicate with any CDS server
To avoid this problem, use a different name for the new replica or wait until the CDS master server refreshes its security credentials before adding the new replica.
