Open Other Types of ACLs

There are four types of DCE ACLs. One of the four ACL types, the Object ACL, controls access to the named object itself. Two others, the Initial Container ACL and the Initial Object ACL, are used as defaults to set the protection granted to newly created objects. The fourth type, Namespace Entry ACL, is the ACL of the namespace object that points to the current object (child pointer of a directory or a leaf entry for an application object). See ACL Types for more information on ACL types.
